Copadichromis sp."mloto reef" is a cichlid which mainly can be found in surroundings with lots of rocks in the neighbourhood. Mainly they are living there in open water on an average depth between 10 and about 20 metres. They can only be found on some spread places namely in the neighbourhood of Maison Reef and Mphanga Rocks, both in the northwestern part of the lake, and also near Higga Reef in the tanzanian part and near Minos Reef in Mozambique. In the lake the males of these species can grow to 16 cm, in the aquarium however they can grow a little taller because of a good feeding, females grow to about 12 cm. Copadichromis sp."mloto reef" is mainly living in open water where it`s feeding itself with plankton. You can best keep this species with multiple females in a large tank with a lot of swimming space. In the aquarium they are comfortable with any food. They take everything they get offered, like spirulina pellets, mysis, artemia, cyclops and shrimp-peas mix.
